Does Anyone Ever Read These?

Wed Apr 1, 2009, 10:07 PM
  • Mood: Tired
  • Listening to: computer noises
  • Reading: Lots of comics!
  • Watching: a CRT monitor
  • Playing: Dragon Quest IV
  • Eating: nuthin'
  • Drinking: I still wish I were drinking!
I really don't spend much time on DA lately and I'm not sure why. I'm waiting to buy a new subscription but I think I'll do that soon. I don't like this site without it and I feel good about contributing to this place financially. Yes, DeviantArt is a business but it's a good business and that needs to be supported. My watchlist is overflowing with artwork that I'll never have time to catch up on but what little I can sift through is lovely stuff.

When I first joined this site it was to find an artist for my comics projects. If all goes well I think I've found someone for one of them but not through DA. Wish me luck on this anyway as, if everything works out, this will be HUGE. There are still people on here who I think are amazing talents that I'd like to collaborate with someday and there are plenty of KC people whose work I like to look at. There are even people on my watchlist who are there just because I love what they do. I can't "use" them but I can enjoy them and hopefully encourage them to continue to pursue their artwork. I love seeing creative people come together to express themselves and to work and play with one another. This is the way things should be.

Much like you, I also have a watch list that is far too long. I simply delete all when looking at art or reading journals becomes too chorish.
I am, however, glad that I was able to read your latest post. Best of luck with your project.

Thanks for the comment and the well wishes. Congrats on the baby, by the way. She's adorable!
